Discover Scuba Diving
Your first dive is an experience of a lifetime. You will be supervised from start to finish by one of our qualified and experienced Instructors.
This dive will give you the taste for recreational diving. Minimum Age : 8 years.
CMAS Basic Diver
This course will familiarise you, both in theory and practice, with the basics of scuba diving.
After completing the course, you will have the basic knowledge and skills for safe diving under supervision. Minimum Age: 12 years.
CMAS * (Bronze)
You will learn the principles and skills ready for participation in guided dives in open water. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to dive in open water under the supervision of an experienced diver (at least VDST-CMAS Diver). Minimum Age: 14 years.CMAS ** (Silver)
Upon completion of this course, you will be qualified to dive with experienced divers alike (at least CMAS Diver). Minimum Age: 16 years.
For this certification you will be required to have undertaken at least 25 dives, including 10 dives at 15-25 meters. Minimum Age: 16 years.
CMAS *** (Gold)
You will now, through theory and practice be familiar with the principles governing the organisation and management of diving under strenuous conditions.
After completing this course, you will be qualified to dive under difficult conditions, together with participation in simple dives with inexperienced divers (at least VDST-CMAS Diver).
There is a requirement of 65 dives, including at least 10 at 40 metres deep for this certification. You will also need to have completed specific courses ie. “Dive Safety & Rescue” , “Night Diving”, “Dry”, Drift Diving, Wreck Diving and scuba diving in underwater caves.
CMAS ****
Having reached this far with your scuba diving career, you will now be able to put your skills to the test. You will learn about organising diving activities such as club outings, where special emphasis is placed on safety and emergency practices.
You will need to prove your competence in a given speciality or field.
Proof of 165 dives minimum - Minimum: 20 years.
You will also need to have completed specific courses such as, Marine Biology or Aquatic Freshwater Biology.
A minimum 5 year membership in VDST is also required.
CMAS Apnoe **
You will become familiar through theory and practice with the basics of advanced free-diving.
Minimum number of compulsory dives required – 10 dives with proven log book entry. Minimum Age : 16 years
CMAS Apnoe ***
Through theory and practice you will become familiar with the basics of free-diving under strenuous conditions.
Minimum number of compulsory dives: 20 dives with proven log book entry. Minimum Age: 18 years.
CMAS Nitrox *
You will, through theory and practice, become familiar with the safe practice, planning and preparation of the execution of Nitrox dives. Using gas mixtures, which consist of nitrogen with an oxygen content of maximum 40.
Upon completion of the course, you will be qualified to master the unique problems and dangers diving with Nitrox can present. You will be trained to assemble the right equipment for Nitrox diving and be confident in performing safe dives within the limitations, whilst being fully aware of the precautions essential for the safe use of Ntirox and Oxygen.
Minimum Age: 14 years.
