     "Dive In Dahab"

Fury Shoal - Abu Fanera - St. Johns

Picture

Fourteen square miles of splendidly diverse coral atolls and reefs, located 40km north of the Sudanese border and 20km SW of Zabargad. This reef system has over 10 known dive sites and many more unexplored experiences. In view of its sheltered nature it is accessible all year round and offers great dives in winter and summer. Explore the southern most reefs in the Egyptian Red Sea, offering pristine and un-crowded diving all year round, and the opportunity to explore new and un-dived reefs.

Depart from Marsa Alam or Hamata and cruise between the reefs of Fury Shoal, St Johns and Abu Fandera aboard your comfortable and luxurious liveaboard vessel.

In the Fury Shoal area, Shaab Mahsour with its north and south plateaus offers amazing diving and encounters with hammerheads, grey reef sharks, white tips, and gape in awe at the scenery portrayed by an abundance of soft and hard corals.

Swim with big pods of Spinner dolphins in the lagoons of Shaab Sataya, or explore the ancient amphorae, hard and soft coral gardens and shear walls it has to offer.

For cavern lovers and photographers, Shaab Claudio is a dream dive, and Shaab Heaven a truly heavenly dive, with its numerous pinnacles sticking closely together and creating a maze of swim-thrus that will make you wonder about nature's miracles.

St Johns is a collection of small reefs offering some of the best diving in the Red Sea. Habili Ali, will make even the most experienced of divers sigh with wonder with forests of huge fan and black corals that adorn its walls. At its western end, grey reef sharks, silvertip sharks and impressive schools of hammerheads can be seen. Look out for the curious and impressive Bump-head parrot fish, that are typical to the St Johns area.

Habili Gafaar, an astonishing underwater mountain, with only its small peak barely touching the surface, is an unforgettable aquarium, covered in soft corals and shoals of snappers, butterfly fish and barracudas. Always keep an eye out in the deep blue, as mantas, oceanic whitetip sharks, grey reef sharks and silvertip sharks offer you their fleeting silhouettes.
